About the project

Khmer Mastery is an independent system for spoken Khmer and real-script reading

The project is built in Kampot, Cambodia for learners who want practical Khmer, a clear understanding of grammar and the ability to approach genuine Khmer writing. It combines a Speaking path, Reading/Visual Decoder path, audio dictionary and spaced review.

One course system, two reinforcing paths

The Speaking path develops useful communication into connected speech and grammar in context. The Reading path develops visual analysis into real-word reading. An audio dictionary, review cards and spaced repetition connect vocabulary across both paths.

Built from the language learners meet in Cambodia

Lessons begin with recognizable actions: opening a conversation, choosing respectful address, buying, ordering, locating, explaining and narrating. Each context becomes a place to discover reusable grammar and script structure rather than memorize an isolated line.

What makes the system distinctive

Khmer Mastery combines a substantial Speaking progression with a dedicated Visual Decoder approach to Khmer reading. Learners do not have to choose between practical communication and understanding how the language works.

An integrated practice loop

Lessons, dialogue, listening and checkpoints introduce and test new material. Review cards then return studied vocabulary and constructions through spaced repetition, keeping retrieval connected to the structured Speaking and Reading path.
